BT Total Broadband offers 5GB of free storage space

July 5, 2007 – BT has announced it is offering 5GB of free storage to their Total Broadband customers in the BT Digital Vault service, doubling its previous offering.

The service comes with Auto Backup for files, photos, movies and music to protect content against theft, PC crashes and accidental deletion, uploading the files every time they are changed or more files are added.  Customers with a subscription to BT Total Broadband Option 1 and 2 will receive Auto backup for free for the first six months, whilst Option 3 includes 5GB storage and Auto backup as a permanent feature.

Emma Sanderson, Director of value-added services at BT retail, commented: “Our research has shown that customers are not safely storing their precious photos and files, not thinking about it until it is too late and they have lost everything.  Now we are making it easy for BT Total Broadband customers to securely store, backup and share their digital valuables in one place online.”  BT Digital Vault Plus with 20GB of storage is also available at £4.99 per month for non-BT customers, while BT Digital Vault Basic with 1GB storage is available for free to non-customers.
