Humax signs $30mn deal to supply set-top boxes to Turkey’s Dogan TV

July 17, 2007 – South Korean set-top box manufacturer Humax has signed a $30mn deal with Turkish broadcaster Dogan TV to supply satellite digital set-top boxes by the end of 2007.

Dogan TV includes three free-to-air national TV channels, Star TV, CNN Turk, Kanal D, and 15 thematic channels, as well as two services – EuroD and EuroStar – which are aimed at viewers outside the domestic market.

“Based on the supply contract, we are going to establish a strategic partnership there and expand our product line-up in the Turkish market to meet rising demand,” said Humax CEO Byun Dae-gyu in a statement.
