Over 1,000 pirated Nintendo games available on Facebook

July 18, 2007 – A third-party application has been launched for social networking site Facebook that allows users to play more than 1,000 pirated Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games for free.

The games can be played via a web-based emulator attachable to any Facebook profile, called Free NES.  Reported niggles with the application, despite its free status, include poor quality sound, small screen-size and games running considerably slower.

Free NES is likely to be ejected from Facebook shortly however, unless Nintendo has other ideas.
