InGrid secures $13.5mn to develop digital home protection solutions

July 20, 2007 – InGrid, a US developer of digital home protection solutions, has secured $13.5mn in private capital from a new round of funding to further InGrid’s work developing and launching a new class of digital home protection services.

Louis Stilp, CEO of InGrid, commented: “This latest round of financing strongly positions InGrid for a successful launch of the most advanced home protection products and services available, while laying the ground work for true industry leadership.”  Mr. Stilp continued: “InGrid’s Digital Home protection is the first all-digital, all-wireless technology for home and small business security, offering consumers better protection and control than existing alternatives.”

InGrid offers customers a complete suite of services designed to enhance customer control, enabling broadband providers and other partners to add to their bundled offers and aiming at lower subscriber acquisition cost.

Digital home protection is expected to provide a multi-billion dollar revenue stream for broadband service providers, as the majority of homes with broadband access both inside and outside InGrid’s domestic market do not currently have a home security service.  The launch of digital home protection is anticipated to double the size of the existing $8bn analogue security market in the US.
