STMicroelectronics appoints Philippe Lambinet as Corporate Vice President

August 10, 2007 – STMicroelectronics, a French-Italian manufacturer of electronics and semiconductors, announced yesterday that it has appointed Philippe Lambinet as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of its Home Entertainment and Displays (HED) Group.

Mr. Lambinet will also hold responsibility for the company’s Grenoble, France facility for integrated circuit design.  He was previously CEO of ADB, a Swiss provider of digital TV solutions.

“Having operated as an important customer to ST over the last 6 years, I’m in a good position to understand how to take ST’s Home Entertainment and Displays group to the next level,” said the executive.  He takes over from Christos Lagomichos, who has left the company to pursue other interests.

Consumer applications generated approximately 17% of STMicroelectronics’ revenue in the second quarter of 2007, according to its earnings release.
