D-Link joins Multimedia over Coax Alliance

September 24, 2007 – D-Link has announced that it has joined the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoC), an industry-driven initiative promoting distribution of digital video, data and entertainment via coaxial cable in the home.

MoCA provides backbone technology for whole home entertainment networks of multiple wires and wireless products, according to Charlie Cerino, President of the organisation.  “Our strategy has consistently aimed at embracing industry partners committed to make the networking life of the average consumer less confusing and time consuming."

AJ Wang, CTO for D-Link, added: “MoCA is rapidly becoming recognised in the consumer arena and represents a powerful technology that complements our existing line of home networks solutions for the digital home.”
