Spanish satellite operator Digital+ launches new DVR

September 26, 2007 – Spanish satellite operator Digital+ has launched a new Digital Video Recorder (DVR) for its domestic market, which gives access to both digital terrestrial television (DTT) and its own satellite transmissions.

The new iPlus set-top box (STB) has a 160GB hard drive, capable of recording around 80 hours of programming, and an Ethernet connection, allowing the operator to offer IPTV and other IP-based services.  It also has four tuners, and is capable of receiving high-definition TV, which Digital+ plans to launch soon.

The iPlus STB will retail at €395.
