LaCie launches Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition media server

November 23, 2007 – French firm LaCie has announced the launch of its new Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition personal media server, designed to allow the sharing of personal digital media at home and on the road.

The server can stream multimedia files through Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) compatible media players, can act as an iTunes music server, and offers remote access overt the Internet through LaCie’s media portal.  It is powered by Axentra HipServ and includes a 500GB hard drive.

The LaCie Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition will be launched in late October at a suggested retail price of $199.
