LaCie launches Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition media serverNovember 23, 2007 – French firm LaCie has announced the launch of its new Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition personal media server, designed to allow the sharing of personal digital media at home and on the road.
The server can stream multimedia files through Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) compatible media players, can act as an iTunes music server, and offers remote access overt the Internet through LaCie’s media portal. It is powered by Axentra HipServ and includes a 500GB hard drive. “The new Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition is an innovative online storage device that is the first of its kind,” said Marie Renouard, Product Manager for LaCie. “This product offers a simple way to store digital photos, family videos and complete music libraries in one convenient location while making them accessible throughout the home or elsewhere around the world.
