TiVo adds photo sharing capability for all TiVo DVRsDecember 5, 2007 – TiVo has announced that it has formed partnerships with two online photo services, Photobucket and Picasa Web Albums, to enable TiVo subscribers to access their own photos for viewing on their TV and also those shared by family and friends.
The service is compatible with all TiVo boxes, and TiVo Series3 and HD subscribers are able to display their photos in high-definition resolutions. Subscribers will also be able to search community photos of interest by keyword, using the TiVo search interface. “At TiVo we’re focused on the entire entertainment experience, from movies to music, and in this case – memories,” said Jim Denney, Vice President of Product Marketing for TiVo. “By working with these well-respected and popular photo-sharing partners, TiVo enables families to share their pictures in new, fun ways.
