CyberLink MediaServer and SoftDMA apps certified compliant with DLNA Guidelines v1.5
January 14, 2008 – CyberLink has announced that two of its applications, CyberLink Media Server and CyberLink SoftDMA, have passed Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) tests and are now compliant with the DLNA Networked Device Interoperability Guidelines v1.5.
The two applications have also been selected as reference devices for interoperability tests as part of the DLNA certification programme. CyberLink Media Server enables file sharing between PDAs, mobile phones and other consumer electronics (CE) devices supporting DLNA connectivity. CyberLink SoftDMA supports access to DLNA certified media servers and allows users to access and enjoy photos, music and video over a home network.
“We are honoured that CyberLink Media Server and SoftDMA have been selected by DLNA as DLNA reference devices and test devices,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “CyberLink is one of the earliest embracers of the Digital Home, which requires industry players to join together to build an interoperable framework of wired and wireless network devices that are easy for consumers to adopt. DLNA plays an important role in enabling leading computers, consumer electronics and mobile devices to work seamlessly together and we are happy to work with DLNA to build the Digital Home ecosystem.”
