Official promo video for PS3’s PlayTV add-on released

January 22, 2008 – The official video for the PlayStation 3’s PlayTV add-on has been released on the Internet, fueling reports that the DVB-T tuner will be available sooner rather than later.

The PlayTV adaptor will enable PS3 users to watch, record and playback terrestrial TV at full 1080p (when available), as well as offering a 7-day electronic programme guide and the ability to watch one channel while recording another.

The adaptor wil also offer PSP Remote Play functionality, allowing PSP users to watch and playback live and recorded TV from their PlayTV adaptor anywhere in the world via Wi-Fi.

Reports suggest that the PlayTV adaptor will be available from March 28th for around £99.99.
