VUDU cuts price of VUDU box to $295
January 25, 2008 – VUDU has cut the price of its VUDU box, which connects to a TV and Internet connection and allows consumers to download movies and television shows without the need for a PC.
The price of a VUDU box has been cut by just over $100 and now retails at $295. Customers who purchased a VUDU box in the past 30 days can receive a $100 movie credit if they call the company’s customer service line.
“We’ve been thrilled by the enthusiastic response we’ve received from our early customers, which tells us we’re giving video fans the experience they’ve been waiting for,” said Patrick Cosson, Vice President of Marketing for VUDU. “With its large catalogue of standard definition and high definition movies and TV shows and now a new lower price, VUDU is the perfect upgrade for any movie lover who wants great video quality plus the convenience that only digital delivery can offer.”
The price cut comes on the back of the recent relaunch of AppleTV at the 2008 MacWorld event and new price of $229 for a 40GB AppleTV unit.
