SpeakerCraft introduces iPhone interface for MODE distributed-audio system

April 9, 2008 – US firm SpeakerCraft has unveiled an iPhone interface for its MODE distributed-audio system, allowing users to control the multi-room solution over their handset interface.

The interface is generated through an embedded Web server contained inside SpeakerCraft’s ERS 1.0 Ethernet-to-serial adaptor and accessed through the iPhone’s adapted Safari browser, meaning that no additional software must be installed.

The ERS also offers an interface for any standard Mac/PC browser, and multiple interface devices can be used simultaneously to control different zones of the home.

The ERS 1.0 with embedded software will retail for US$ 1,000.
