Zattoo reaches Spain milestone, presents new player
June 20, 2008 - Internet TV service Zattoo has now reached 1mn users in Spain, out of a total 2.7mn across Europe, and has introduced the new Zattoo Player with added functionality.
Zattoo has been operating in Spain for one year now and offers 27 channels; other countries the service is available in are Switzerland (the company has offices in Zurich, as well as Michigan in the US), Germany, the UK, France, Belgium, Denmark and Norway.
With the new Zattoo Player, all users will be able to personalise and organise their programming list as they wish, and access teletext. Zattaoo is also working on local versions in Spanish, French and German.
Daniel Ilar, General Manager of the company for Spain, Portugal and Latin America, said: "We are sure Zattoo Player's new version will be a success. Before its launch, the beta version of Zattoo 3.2.0 has been tested during two weeks by Zattoo's most technological users who gave us their opinion on it. Our next steps head now for the integration of social networks with Zattoo Player and also for the possibility of initiating it from a link on a web page."
