Vistula Communications & IUSACom Network Inc. Bring Enhanced VoIP Service to Latin America January 12th, 2006 -Vistula Communications Services, Inc., a supplier of flexible and reliable Voice over IP ("VoIP") services to major telecommunications carriers and Internet Service Providers, announced today that it has completed a deal with IUSACom Networks Inc., a provider of telecommunications networking services in Mexico, to deliver feature-rich telephone services to its subscribers and provide cost-effective, turnkey voice services to residential and enterprise customers in Latin America and the United States.
Under the terms of the agreement, Vistula will deploy their V-Cube(TM) VoIP platform and deliver a turnkey, feature-rich VoIP application to IUSACom that addresses both the consumer and enterprise markets. Vistula's V-Cube(TM) VoIP platform enables IUSACom to cost-effectively and easily offer a range of telephony services from simple IP telephone calls right through to video conferencing. Vistula built V-Cube(TM) on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), a signaling protocol for Internet conferencing, telephony, presence, events notification and instant messaging, so that customers are confident of its long-term flexibility and dependability. "Vistula delivers a full range of VoIP capabilities to us that we can roll-out immediately to various consumer, business and channel customers in Latin America and the United States," said Enrique Lopez-Negrete, Chief Operating Officer, IUSACom Networks Inc. "The added benefit is that Vistula will integrate these systems and web portals seamlessly with our own with no up-front costs to us." The Hispanic market is the fastest growing in the U.S. and their purchasing power is rising and projected to reach $1 trillion within the next four years. Currently, telecom traffic from the U.S. to Mexico is the highest in the world and IUSACom is well positioned to tap this market with their Vistula-enabled VoIP service. The new VoIP service will be marketed directly to customers in Mexico, as well as to Mexicans living in the U.S. when launched in the spring of 2006. IUSACom's presence in both Mexico and the U.S. is a key competitive advantage as it could offer flexible long-distance plans that are not profitable to traditional providers in the U.S. Following the launch of the consumer VoIP offering, IUSACom will also market a full Internet Protocol Private Branch eXchange, or IP-PBX product suite, that offers a wide range of communication services including VoIP, IP Centrex, Voice, Video, Conferencing, Call Center, IVR, Multi/Sub-Domain and Messaging, to Enterprise and SMB customers in Mexico and the United States.
